DESCRIPTION: Length up to 5.5mm.  A very attractive mirid bug with a soft green ground colour and dark red-black eyes. The key ID features are the generally pale appearance, the broad head with weak patterning between the yes, the red 1st antennal segment and the pale mesopleura.  Adults are also always macropterous and there is often a dark spot found on the corium and the cuneus on the hemi-elytras. BEHAVIOUR:  The bedbugs overwinter as an egg. The nymphs are usually found between June and July.  Adults can be predatory. DISTRIBUTION: Found throughout the British Isle although less common towards the North.  HABITAT: Frequent on Hairy Willowherb and similar species.  PERIOD: July to October.
